Jacob P. McDaniel has been employed as a Research Associate with the Department of Soils and Crop Sciences at Colorado State University, in Fort Collins, Colorado, since June 2008. As an undergraduate student, he double majored in Soil and Crop Sciences and Agricultural Business and received Bachelor of Science degrees from Colorado State University in 2008. Jacob completed his Masters of Science degree in Soil and Crop Sciences in 2012 from Colorado State University. The focus of his thesis was on the interactions of earthworms and biosolids. He is currently working on a doctorate in Soil Science at Colorado State University, where he is investigating the availability and cycling of phosphorus from biosolids amended soils. His other research interests include conducting laboratory and field studies in the area of environmental soil sciences on the beneficial uses of biosolids and the design and development of low cost instrumentation for soil physics applications.
