Dr. Menon is the chief administrative and academic officer with responsibility for leadership in coordinating and overseeing the College’s programs, budgets, and related activities including resident instruction, research, outreach, and international activities. The College of Agricultural Sciences includes the Departments of Agricultural and Resource Economics, Animal Sciences, Bioagricultural Sciences and Pest Management, Horticulture and Landscape Architecture, and Soil and Crop Sciences. The College also oversees the Colorado Agricultural Experiment Station, which runs research centers in ten locations throughout the state.

Dr. Menon holds a Ph.D. in Marketing and has been on the Marketing Department faculty since 1991. His teaching and research expertise lie in the areas of International Marketing, New Product Development & Management and Strategic Market Planning. His research interests focus in the areas of customer loyalty, new product management, and strategy implementation. He has coordinated and participated in several discussion round-tables on these and related topics at national and international forums. Dr. Menon’s research has appeared in the leading marketing and business journals. In addition, he has received several recognitions for his classroom teaching, including being named “Professor of the Year.” Dr. Menon has been a consultant to several leading companies in Colorado.

From November 2011 to August 2013, Dr. Menon was appointed by Governor John Hickenlooper and served as the state’s first Chief Innovation Officer (in addition to his full-time job as Dean of the College of Business at Colorado State University). In that role, Dr. Menon led COIN to develop an eco-system in Colorado that cultivates entrepreneurial and innovative activities.
